Hey everybody! I know I haven't written about Caskett (or anything Castle related for that matter) in a while but… The drought is over! I'm still stuck on Layers but fear not. I'm recovering old thoughts! Here is something I wrote up a long time ago and I'm still not sure if I like it or not. Constructive Criticism is welcome.

Detective Kate Beckett sat at her desk trying to finish the day's paperwork. And, just like always, Castle sat next to her, waiting for her to finish it. She'd look up occasionally and always see him doing the same thing.

"Castle," she started, "Could you stop staring at me? It's getting creepy." She stated.

"Sorry," he replied, looking away.

"You know, if you're bored, you could just go home," she suggested.

"Nah, I'm good." She rolled her eyes and went back to her work. A couple of minutes later, however, she was stopped again. "Want to play a game?" he asked eagerly.

"Rick, I have work to do." She reminded him, motioning towards her huge stack of papers.

"Well, everyone deserves a break every once and a while." He said with a smirk and batting his eyes.

"You can get me coffee," she suggested to him.

He sat for a second, thinking, then stood up. "Fine," he said reluctantly but stopping once more to turn around. "Then can we play a game?" he asked hopefully.

"No!" she said, mildly annoyed. The things he does when he's bored…

He came back a minute later with an NYPD mug and set it on her desk. "Your coffee," he said, sitting in his chair.

"Thank you," she replied, taking a sip.

For the next ten minutes, everything was quiet. She thought to herself, Maybe, I'll get some work done.

"What's in a name?" he began. Oh no, she thought. When he gets really bored, he'll start to quote random people. "That which we call a rose by-," she cut him off.

"-any other name would smell as sweet. Yeah, I know. Look, you're obviously very bored." She told him. But, being him, he wasn't really paying attention.

"Oh, throwing Shakespeare back at me. Very sexy, Detective." She gave a small smile.

"Rick," she began, "You're bored. Go home."

He let out a small sigh. "Do I have to?" he asked.

"It's probably for the best." She informed him. For both of us.

He sighed once more. "Ok," he said, leaving his seat and going towards the elevator.

She went back to her work until a second later when she felt a kiss on her cheek. "See you at home," he whispered in her ear and turned to leave. She smiled to herself.

Remembering the quote from earlier, she thought to herself. He would always be annoying. But that's why she loved him.

TADA! I hope you liked it. I'm STILL not sure. So, go ahead and review! It'd make me happy! Especially because I'm super sick today. KMN! It's awful! Anyway, to the happy part of today… HAPPY CASTLE MONDAY! I'm so excited! It looks so amazing! Plus, it's what we've been waiting for! Caskett! AHHHHHHH! Okay, now that I've gotten that out of my system… Hearts! ~E
