Angelic Friend
Lady Joey
The sun is starting to set yet Sakura's nowhere to be seen in their team's meeting place. It wasn't long after Naruto decided to search for her in the woods. After a few minutes of searching, he finally found her, staring at the spot where Sasuke and Sakura used to train together. She was sitting on a rock, weeping, but most likely reminiscing.
As soon as she sensed an entity around, Sakura wiped the tears that were flowing from her olive-green eyes, stood up, moved her hands closer to her kunai and turned around to see who it was.
"Sakura-chan…" seeing that it was her blond-spiky-haired friend, she put on a smile which was obvious, for Naruto, was a fake one.
"Naruto, what are you doing here?"
"Looking for you… is it Sasuke's doing?"
Sakura said nothing in reply but instead lowered her head wit her pink bangs covering her misty orbs.
"I wonder how Sasuke does that… you know… do things even in such long distance. I wonder what kind of Ninjutsu is it." Naruto looked at her but noticed that she didn't even wince to what he said that was supposed to be a joke that would make her smile or at least turn her attention to him.
Sakura's attention turned back to the same spot, reminiscing her past with Sasuke. 'I could still remember how my heart broke at seeing him die right in front of me. I was hurt… a lot. It felt like I was being torn to pieces…or not, it was worse. But this time, it's for real. He left the Konohagakure village. He's gone. And the pain was the worst thing I've ever felt. It's as if he carried away my life with him. Yes, my life…my heart.' And once again tears were running through her now pale cheeks.
"Sakura-chan, get over it. You just have to—"
She wiped the tears away and shifted the topic, "Naruto, do all angels have wings?" That was a stupid question, and it sounded more stupid to hear it from a genius like her. But she had no choice. It was the very first thing that popped into her mind to change the topic.
Naruto was surprised by her question. He thought for a moment and spoke up, "No I don't think so."
Curiously, Sakura asked again, "Doushite?"
Naurto breathed and replied, "Because sometimes, they just have their shoulders…"
"Nani?" Sakura asked again, confused on what Naruto said.
"Sometimes they just have shoulders to cry on… So even though sometimes, I looked like a DEMON…" he laughed off and continued, "I still have my shoulders, for you to cry on… Sasuke may be gone, but there's still hope right? So wash that expression off because you forehead looks bigger when you cry!" He then put on a big smile but looked much like a smirk.
Sakura was really crying hard, that made her unable to shout out to Naruto and send him flying out on the sky with his inhumanly-powerful-fist-blow, like what she would usually do for saying such a remark.
She slowly approached him, bent her head onto his shoulder and continued to cry. Naruto then placed his arm on her back to comfort her.
'I never thought Naruto could be this kind… warm-hearted… a gentle friend… Never thought he could be this, angelic.' Sakura moved her arms around him and whispered, "Arigato Naruto."
