The Nameless Boy
They say the eyes,
are the gateways to the soul.
I look in his eyes,
and what I see scares me.
No emotions.
No feelings.
Just emptiness.
Perhaps pain, hidden deep within.
When he stares,
it sends chills down your spine.
Ice covers his eyes.
Ice covers his heart.
His past,
a mystery.
His missions,
to annihilate.
Destroying anything in his way.
To fight for peace,
but the line between peace, and control,
it is thin.
One loses track of enemies.
One switches sides,
when the sides, switch ideas.
So he must question his real enemies.
There is one girl,
he can't explain.
She confronts him,
even when he has a gun to her head.
She loves him,
but he is incapable of love.
Right now at least.
His mind might as well be computerized.
Like when you walk forward, then backward,
he can't.
Everyone that nears him,
he ignores.
Everyone that touches him,
ends up dead.
If you look hard enough,
long enough, you'd see.
Inside is a child,
forced to grow up too fast.
Killing people,
without ever giving it a second thought.
Time can change people.
Time has changed him.
He now protects this girl,
and inside he feels for her too.
He can smile now.
He can have feelings now.
He can be the boy he was meant to be.
Although his eyes may deceive,
any normal person.
Those who look deep enough,
can almost hear a whisper.
A whisper saying,
this boy has a name,
but no one can hear it.
They can only see how he's changed,
to find out.
