Sorry its so short. The story is going to be longer, probably around three or four chapters.
disclaimer : Nothing is mine.
He didn't know why he even came here anymore. What was the point? He just sat there and stared off into space or thought about things to do with the super computer. He went through the lunch line like a zombie, looking at nothing in particular. He didn't even bother poking at his food today, he just handed it to Odd.
"Einstein, are you ok?" Odd spoke as they finally sat down. Jeremie didn't know what to say, he didn't know the answer to his question. He didn't feel alright, but he hadn't for a long time now. "I mean, you never talk or anything anymore." He looked at the floor, he couldn't meet Odd's eyes. Jeremie opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out. He just sat there awkwardly for a moment, and then closed his mouth. He had to think before he spoke.
"I just-" He croaked out. "I don't-" He didn't know how to start, what to say. None of this started Intentionally. He had stoped sleeping and eating when fighting XANA simply to conserve time, but as of late, he didn't really do ether even between attacks. He was so tired, but he couldn't sleep. He was hungry, but every time he tried to eat, the food just felt like it swelled up in his mouth. He felt like he was falling apart, like he was dieing on the inside, and no on knew. And he wasn't going to tell anyone ether.
This was exactly how he had wanted to spend his Friday night. He didn't have to leave the factory, he didn't have to leave his computer terminal. The weapons the team had were now ineffective against XANA's monsters, and so he was going to stay up all night and probably most of tomorrow to program them some new ones. Ulrich was the only one still around, and he didn't seem like he was going to be there much longer.
"Do you need some one to stay here and keep you company?" He asked from across the room. "Because I can stay, If you want." Jeremie sighed and looked over at him.
"It's fine, I'll be here till morning. I don't want to keep you up."
"Oh, ok, Einstein." Ulrich nervously looked around the room, and was uncertain on how to proceed. He didn't want to bother Jeremie, he had very important work to do. "Do you want me to bring you some breakfast tomorrow?" Jeremie thought for a moment. He was hungry now, and would be absolutely famished by the time he had finished all the programing. He wanted badly to ask him if he would get him something right now, but after careful consideration, he decided to just decline. He wouldn't have eaten it anyways.
"Err.. Its really nice of you to think of me, but I'll be alright."
"Alright, but if you change your mind just call, ok?"
