Dawn was birthed at an agonizingly sluggish pace from the pregnant moon. To Remus, it felt like the labor pains of the world when his body shed its claws and wolfish traits, returning him to the body he had been born in.
His legs trembled as he stepped outside. It was as if he was emerging from the world's most dismal womb as he felt weak sunlight touch his skin as if for the first time. A fleeting shadow overhead, his mother's hand on his brow, and the rains poured down, cleansing him.
Preparing him to be born yet again.
