Something that's been in my mind for a while now, thought I'd let it out.
Disclaimer: Not mine, just playing
He loved her, and he hated her.
He loved her for who she was, what she represented, what she meant to him. He hated her for who he wasn't, what he represented to her and what he meant to her.
She loved him, and she hated him.
She loved him for who he wasn't, who he pretended to be, and what the past was.
She hated him for who he pretended to be, and what the past was.
It was a relationship of pain and convenience. It was never supposed to be, but here they were; covered in sweat and shame, for why they loved and for why they hated.
He thrust into her harder, forcing her to remember who he wasn't. He loved her voice, and he hated her voice. She moaned as he pushed her closer to the edge.
She loved his body, and she hated his body. It was exactly the same, but completely different.
She flipped him over to take control, it was the way he like it, but this wasn't he. She rode him to remind him who he wasn't. His moans filling the air; she loved his voice, and hated his voice.
Both were in a struggle for supremacy, changing positions as will. Fucking harder, then softer, then a mixture of both. For that is what this is, fucking. There was no real love here, only broken memories. Two people trying to regain a memory of the past, of what once was and never would be.
Him trying to live another's life, her trying to replace one. It wouldn't last, it didn't bring comfort, but they continued none the less.
Grunts and moans hung in the air as the two moved together in the dark. One final thrust, one final moan, and they were finished.
"Fred" A voice sadly whispered into the silence.
"I'm leaving, I have a job offer from Rome. I'm set to leave in the morning. Thought you should know." Hermione said standing to get dressed.
"I understand." George replied. "I sold the shop, to many memories. Working for the Department of Mysteries starting next week."
"Well then," Hermione turned to face him. "You look so much like him" She said reaching to cup his face.
"I won't be your replacement any longer Hermione." He said
"You'd never be able to." She said unapologetically. "You'll never be him."
With that she left the room, as before, but this time to never return.
