Mako's Message: This is something I'd never intended to share. However, none of my other stories are coming along at all well, and this is part of Precocious Crush cannon so I thought I'd throw it out there. This could take place at anytime in the story before Ch57. Enjoy.

Dave sat on the couch in his living room watching a movie. A bowl of popcorn sat on his lap, still too hot to eat from.

Mindy walked in then, startling him. He hadn't known she was here. "Hi," he said, "Want to watch the movie with me?"

"Sure," she said, smiling at him, "I'd love to."

She moved the bowl aside and sat down in his lap, throwing an arm around his shoulder"You don't mind, do you?" she asked, pulling herself even closer.

"Uhm. No. I guess not."

"Good," she said, settling herself into him and reaching for some popcorn and popping a handful into her mouth.

Once he'd started to get used to her being so close to him, and had started to relax, Mindy asked him, "Do you trust me?"

Dave blinked. The question had caught him off guard, "What?"

"Do. You. Trust. Me? It's a simple question."

Dave looked at her bemusedly, wondering what had brought this on, "Of course I trust you."

"Good."

After a few more minutes past, she tugged on his shirt, "Can I tell you something?"

"Of course, what is it?"

She wrapped both arms around his neck and pulled herself up to whisper into his ear, "My daddy trusted you."

Before he could even start to think about what an odd thing that was to say, a terrible burning sensation sliced across his neck, followed by the feel of damp warmth pouring down his body.

His hand came up to his neck, trying to hold the deep cut, clear across his neck, closed. Mindy stood up, covered in his blood, knife in hand, and smiled at him.

Unable to speak, he asked with just his eyes, "Why?"

"You were with me that night. What did you think I'd do to someone who killed my Daddy? I just needed to let it sink in." she grinned even wider, "And you really thought I was your friend," she shook her head, "What a dumbass."

Her eyes suddenly lit up and and she pounded her fist into her palm, "Ya know what? I should have killed your dad first." she looked around the room quickly, "Maybe there's still time. You can die to the sound of his screams..."

By this time, Mindy was the only thing Dave could still see, and even then she was a indistinct blur.

She kneeled down next to him, "Nah, looks like your too far gone for that. I'll just have to settle for making your last seconds as painful as possible. I'll have to get creative with those fucked up nerves of yours." He watched her raise the knife over him, and plunged it down.

At the last second he bolted upright, covered in sweat, and in his bed.

He looked around his room, the dull glow from his computer called to him. He stood and walked across to it, putting his glasses on as he went. He flicked the mouse and the screen came to life, displaying the message he'd left open several hours ago.

He read through it again, his fingers clenching around the keyboard, knuckles turning white. Suddenly he ripped the keyboard away from the computer and hurled it across the room before slumping to the floor, holding his head in his shaking hands
