A Tale of Not-So-Epic Proportions, Guaranteed to Bore You To Death
It was a normal day in the Junkyard. All the Jellicles were sitting and doing nothing. Munkustrap looked around and went back to sleep. Demeter ran over to him and talked to him, but nobody else could hear what they were saying. Nobody cared though - they were too relaxed to eavesdrop on conversations.
Then Electra walked ran through the junkyard.
"What are you doing?" Munkustrap said.
"Chasing butterflies," Electra said.
"Why?" Munkustrap said.
"Because I want to," Electra said.
"But there are no butterflies," Munkustrap said.
"Then I'll go do something else" Electra said.
"Okay," Munkustrap said.
Electra went and sat down and went to sleep and then Munkustrap did too.
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer went into the middle of the Junkyard and got out all the stuff they'd stolen. Then they looked at it all and put it back away. Then they decided to do something with it.
"Let's throw it away," Rumpleteazer said.
"Okay," Mungojerrie said.
"But I want to keep some of it," Rumpleteazer said.
"But so do I," Mungojerrie said.
"Well let's keep it all," Rumpleteazer said.
Then they went away again.
All the Jellicles went to sleep and the Junkyard was really quiet. Then Jennyanydots woke up and decided to knit. But she got bored, so she woke Jellylorum up so she could have someone to talk to. And then they both knitted. And they kept knitting while everyone else was sleeping. Jennyanydots was knitting a blue and white scarf for Pouncival for when he got cold in the winter because he was complaining that he got cold in the winter. Jellylorum was knitting a blue and white blanket for Alonzo for when he got cold in the winter because she thought he might get cold in the winter and she didn't want him to.
"I like knitting," Jellylorum said.
"I like being a Jellicle," Jennyanydots said.
"I like blue," Jellylorum said.
"I like sunshine," Jennyanydots said.
Then they kept knitting.
Plato woke up for a second but he was boring so he went back to sleep. Then Alonzo woke up. But none of his friends were awake so he went to sleep too. Mistoffelees got up for a bit and threw some lightning around, but nobody was watching him so he went into a corner and sulked and then he went to sleep too. Then he woke up and decided to tidy his things. But he got bored so he stopped. And then he sat down. And then he stood up again. But his feet got tired so he sat down again and then he closed his eyes and then he went to sleep. Then a nice stray walked into the Junkyard and looked happy. Then she saw Mistoffelees and so she walked over to him and woke him up. Then Mistoffelees and the stray fell in love and the stray became a Jellicle.
Macavity ran into the Junkyard but nobody cared. Then Demeter said "Macavity!" so the Jellicles woke up and decided to hide from him. And Macavity had to wait until they were hidden. Then he got mad at them so he killed Tantomile and Coricopat and Jemima. Then he killed Mistoffelees and Demeter because he was bored. Then he left and the Jellicles went back to sleep.
"What should we do with the bodies?" Munkustrap said.
Nobody answered him so he went back to sleep again because he was tired.
Then the Jellicles all lived happily ever after because that's what Jellicles do.
