Hello, my name is Silverstar and im going to tell you about my life as a warrior, from the first things i remember to the time where i become leader. I've lived a long life, fraught with the dangers of any warrior. Although im not ready to become an elder yet, age is coming upon me . My story is a sad one, and i wont blame you for closing this book and reading something else less tragic. This book contains abuse, death, love, heartbreak, hatred, murder, and anything else your mind can dream up. This book contains life. Well; if youre still sitting there reading, then let us begin.
The first thing i saw was trees. Then there was darkness. All I remember is flashing lights and something sharp that made me sleepy. When I awoke, there were cats everywhere. The only thing I heard was the bone chilling screaming. More sharp things. Pain. Fear.
My life was like a dream. I went where I was pushed without realizing who was pushing me and let the white men prick and prod me. I'm not sure how much time passed, but one day i began to realize what was really going on. A young tabby tom with peircing black eyes came in a flurry of teeth and claws. The men were rushing to and fro, sticking sharp things in the pugnacious tom. They appeared to have no effect on him, and he bit one man so hard that he fell on the floor and didnt get up. Everyone thought for sure he would get shocked (thats how they kill cats they dont need) and things would return to normal. Strangly enough, he was back the next day, in a immense steel cage with locks and bolts. I was frightened, but also slightly intreged by this fighting tom. Where did his strength, and more importantly, will to live come from? All the cats here, myself included, hed given up on a real life...but who was this cat? And why were the white men so interested in him? That night moonlight filtered in through the minisclule window and I had strange dreams, filled with cats I didnt know. They were trying to tell me something, every time they tried to speak, clouds obscoured their faces and they disappeared from veiw. I awoke to see The rural tom standing in a clearing with cats all around him.
