Dawn dialled the sixth number in the phone book, praying as she did so that it was the right one.

Her head hurt, being forced by sheer politeness to have an eight minute conversation over the phone with an obsessive Joan Collins fan who's just dying to know your opinion of Flintstones: Viva Rock Vegas will do that to anyone, but Dawn had a special kind of headache. One you get after head butting a desk for two hours.

She was going to kill Willow. And Buffy. And the guy that had installed their Internet connection.

After forcing her big sister to show her exactly what had caused her to go on a masochistic streak, Dawn had reluctantly been shown a series of incredibly graphic 'stories', most of which involved Buffy being in situations that usually only appeared in Xander's secret video collection.

Unfortunately, it wasn't just Buffy.

While most of the 'writers' pictured her getting raped by one of Buffy's ex-boyfriends and go on to have really good comfort sex with Spike, for some reason, quite a lot of them seemed to think that Dawn was destined to hook up with some kid called Connor and do….stuff.

She shuddered, there had been one site with artwork.

Suddenly, her heart caught in her throat as someone answered.

"….52 Hillside Road." The voice sounded shaken. And young. And male.

Dawn was stumped. The idea of calling this Connor had seemed like a really good one at the time, but now she couldn't for the life of her remember why. What the hell was she going to say anyway?

"Uh….Are you Connor?" Nicely done genius, she thought.

"….Yeah. Who are you?"

"Uh…. My name's Dawn."

There was silence on the other end.

"Hello?"

"Dawn Summers?"

"Yeah."

"The girl with the-"

"Cucumber?"

"Oh."

There was an awkward pause.

"Hi." Connor ventured.

"Hi back." Dawn replied.

Another pause.

"So….You like frozen yogurt?"

Can I just say thank you to all my lovely reviewers so far, and I'm sorry that this one took so long to post.

Also, I realise that this is a little shippy. But hey, I'm a fan, don't hold it against me.

The website I mentioned actually exists BTW.
