My first fanfiction. Please tell me if I should continue, or how my writing is, or if there are any mistakes. Sorry it's so short
I took a deep breath and pushed the door open. There were kids pushing their way through halls, talking to their friends, glaring at others, and well doing what kids do in a high school hall way.
Although I wouldn't know. I was home schooled all of my life. First day at a new school. The first school. It was not going to be fun.
My father said I needed to start gaining people skills. With kids my own age. I think he just didn't want to pay the fee for a private tutor anymore.
I walk through the hallway trying to shrink down so no one notices me. I still get bumped into at least a dozen times before I find my locker. Number 339.
I quickly stuff my bag in and grab what I need for home room.
I navigate through the halls like I know where I am going. Truth be told I walked by the classroom twice. I enter it two minutes before the bell.
Jocks are flirting with girls who have no modesty. A couple of outcasts sit in a corner keeping to them selves. Where do I fit in?
Good Question. I don't know either. I am athletic but don't so team sports. I am extremely smart. All honors classes. I am wearing Bermuda shorts and a red blouse. So not with the girls who are wearing shorts that are shorter then their under wear.
You know. If they were wearing any. So I sigh in sit in the front row. I can't believe I left my hair down. The curls are so annoying. I should have just thrown my hair in to a pony tail.
"Welcome juniors. I am your home room teacher Mr. Matthew. Be quiet while I take attendance."
The teacher was balding. He was also going to be my honors calculus teacher. I can just imagine him talking on and on forever. I shudder. He gets to my name.
"Annabeth Chase?"
"Here!" I say raising my hand. I can hear some people whispering. Probably about me. The new girl. I sigh as he finishes the list.
"I know most of you guys think home room is just going to be some fun time to chat. While you are wrong. We will be watching the news and doing study hall. Now don't groan. There will be assigned seats as well."
Despite his orders Mr. Mathew earns a chorus of huge sighs and groans from over half the class. He assigns us seats.
It's just my luck to be surrounded by idiot jocks. The boys joke around with each other. While making faces at the girls across the room.
This day is going to be longer than I thought.
