Hi peeps! Liana here and now with my third poem. I really thought of making this beacuse I need to tell the whole world how Shinigami-sama's feelings for Kid during Kid's childhood. I hope this would perk up you interest and you would enjoy it. Yay, on with the poem!
I loved you from the very start
You stole my breath and embraced my heart
Our life together has just begun
You're a part of me, little one
As a father with a child, each day you grew
My mind was occupied with thoughts of you
I'd daydream of the things we would share
Like late-night bottles and Teddy Bears
Like first steps and skimmed knees
Like bedtime stories and ABC's
I thought of things you wanted to know
Like how birds fly and flowers grow
I thought of lessons I'd need to share
Like standing tall and playing fair.
When I saw your precious face
I hoped your life would be filled with grace.
I'd thank the heavens above,
And to give you unending love
Each nights, I lay you down to sleep
I gently kiss your head and cheek
I count your little hands and toes
I memorize your eyes and nose
I lingered at your bedroom door
And awed each day as you slept once more
Through misty light, I dim the light
And whisper "I love you" each passing night
