AN: So, yeah, I've been toying with this idea a lot lately. I was thinking: 'how cute would it be to have Jacob and Nessie's first kiss?' so I decided to do this.
I am aware that this is all spelt in the British way. It was intentional. I felt like doing a story using the way I've grown up writing. American words can confuse me a lot.
Enjoy. Please review. I know it's short, but I'm having a huge writers' block and can't think of what to write /
Nessie POV
I sat on the beach in LaPush, staring out into the ocean. It sparkled brightly, the blues and the greys shining as the sun beat down on them. The sand felt soft and warm beneath my naked toes.
"Hey Nessie!" I heard a familiar voice call out. I looked up to see Seth grinning at me. I grinned back automatically. You couldn't help grinning around Seth. His grin was infectious.
"What's up?" Seth asked. He fell down next to me, landing with a light thud as his butt hit the ground.
"Not a lot. I'm just waiting for Jake," I said, feeling a slight blush fill my cheeks. Seth grinned an even bigger grin. It was no secret between the wolves that Jacob had imprinted on me. I'd learnt that when I was eight. I knew that I loved him, and that we were meant to be together.
But he was too much of a gentleman like dad. He insisted on waiting until I was old enough before he would ask me out. Now I was sixteen, and had reached my maturity for now. I would not age for many centuries to come.
"How about you, Seth? What are you up to?" I asked, pulling myself out of my thoughts.
"I'm just waiting for Jake to get off patrol so I can take over. I figured I'd wait with you, if that's alright." No sooner had Seth finished speaking then did we hear the sound of footsteps coming towards us. I looked up to see Jacob running towards us, shirtless. My heart beat – already fast – began to increase.
"Hey Nessie," Jacob winked at me. "Seth, you're up for patrol."
"Alright. Catch you later, man," Seth grinned. He got up and jogged off towards the trees, already removing his shirt.
Jacob sat down next to me, still shirtless. He put his hand over mine and stared out into the ocean. We didn't need to speak; the silence was comfortable with the two of us. The soft sounds of the wind whistling gently; the sounds of the sea lapping up at the water's edge, the water going over seashells; the sounds of our breathing, our heartbeats.
I looked up at Jacob. He still looked the same as he did when I was born. His black hair which was getting a bit on the long side again; his black eyes alive with happiness; his tan skin.
Jacob looked down at me. He looked serious for once, as if he was trying to decide something.
"What's wrong?" I asked gently. Jacob just shook his head, and took his hand off of mine. I looked down, hurt.
Jacob's warm hand pulled my face back up. He looked into my eyes and slowly leaned forwards. I closed my eyes and Jacob's lips pressed softly against mine. I felt a tingling go all throughout my body. My lips felt like they were on fire. It felt like stars were shooting all around my body, sending them rocketing into my very soul.
Jacob pulled away and smiled sweetly at me. I felt like I was unable to keep the huge, goofy grin off of my face that came up. I felt my cheeks flood with heat and colour.
Jacob pulled me into his arms. He didn't feel that warm to me; he felt just a little bit hotter than a normal human, but he didn't feel boiling in comparison to my parents. He felt just right. Warm.
I sighed and melted in Jacob's arms, content to stay there until the end of time.
