It was the start of 6th year for the Marauders. They were sitting in a compartment on a train ride to hogwarts.
Remus had taken out a book and was reading near the window. He was still recovering from the full moon only two nights before and the scars on his face and hands were more prononced than ever.
Wormtail sat admiring Sirius and James with wide eyes and munching on a packet of cheetoes. Sirius lounged lazily in the seat grinning as he swapped ideas with James sitting across from him about what they were going to do this year.
Sirius noted that James seemed different this year. He wasn't as loud as usual. He had been like this all summer. "I'm thirsty" Sirius said. "Isn't the trolley lady supposed to be here by now?" he asked. James shrugged. "If your offering to get drinks padfoot, i'll have a coke thanks!" James grinned at him. "Yeah right " said Sirius and he got up and walked out of the compartment. He walked down the corridor of the train and up near the front.
He was walking past a bathroom on the right when a girl, not looking around her banged into him causing both of them to fall to the floor. The girl was lying on top of him and when she open her eyes and saw him her face reddened. Sirus was then looking into the most beautiful, warmest deep blue eyes he had ever seen.
She looked into his brown ones for a second and then shook her head coming to her senses. "Oh my god, I am so so sorry I didn't see you there. I.-" She started to say something else but Sirius cut her off. "Hey relax, Its okay." He started to get up pulling her to her feet. The stood up brushin themselves off and thats when Sirius got a real look at her.
Shiny, light brown curls hung to her slender waist. Her pretty eyes were a saphire blue, her full round lips were pink and a few freckles dappled her nose. Her lightly tanned skin looked soft and she was medium in height. "Are you okay?" she asked in a soft voice. Sirius had been staring at her with his mouth slightly open.
He quickly closed it . "Yeah" he said shaking his head a little.
"I'm sorry again" she said quietly "I'm a right clutz " She laughed softly. Sirius chuckled. He held up a hand. "Don't worry , you can bump into me anytime" He said before he could stop himself. She laughed and blushed again.
"I'll keep that in mind" she said.
They stood looking at one another for a moment. "Well I better go" She said. "I'll see you around." She turned to leave.
"Whats your name?" he called after her. She turned around to face him again. "Its Sarah" she replied smiling. He nodded. She waved a little and turned away again. He watched her walk away and then he turned to go back to his compartment.
When he returned to his friends. They looked up as he entered. "Wheres my coke" James shot at him. "Get it yourself Prongs" Sirius retorted still dazed. James took him in. "Did you meet a girl cause youv'e gone all starry eyed?" Sirius laughed this comment off.
"Like you are with a certain miss Evans prongs my dear.?" he said "I hope not!". That shut James up but Remus had noticed a little colour rising in Sirius' face and thought to himself. 'Sirius has a crush, this is going to be intresting'. Sarah's face kept fliting into Sirius' thoughts for the rest of the afternoon and he couldn't wait to see her again.
