Maybe this is a weird story idea.
Okay, so here's where I got the idea: I always thought of a funny picture of Umaru, Akame, and Mako eating stuff while Taihei, Tatsumi, and Ryuko just stare at them when I felt down. So I thought of a random story.
Yeah.
Um.
You get the idea.
Disclaimer: I own nothing. That's all.
Prologue: Relationships
Sister. Girlfriend. BFF.
We all had that relationship with a girl. Where we want to protect them with our lives.
My best friends and housemates Tatsumi and Ryuko fit in there. I had a sister, Umaru. Tatsumi had a girlfriend, Akame. Ryuko had a best friend, Mako.
I could see Tatsumi and Ryuko doing it. Even though most likely he wouldn't have to, Tatsumi had a sword that got him some epic armor, not being a match for a one-hit kill sword like Akame had, but still used if necessary to protect her. Ryuko's sailor outfit turned into some skimpy outfit I'd rather leave to imagination, but still made her ridiculously powerful while she wielded a giant scissor blade.
Me? I was just normal Taihei, who has no means of protecting Umaru unless it was with my bare hands.
I got annoyed at times like this. I hated it when I saw my two friends, who were younger than me but had better ways to protect their friends. Yet I couldn't do the same to my own younger sister, who looked up at me (yet down at the same time… little himotou).
I'll be walking across the street with the other five… they'll stare at Umaru thinking she's a celebrity. They'll comment on how cute Tatsumi and Akame look until Akame gives them the death stare. Ryuko got attention by the fact she's always showing off her midriff, and Mako gives everybody a good laugh. They think that I'm just another friend who's not special, and that makes them think that they're even better from there.
Somedays, I consider myself to be useless, making me feel worse that I am basing my opinions off random people's. Tatsumi assures me that I'm not useless and keeps us fed. But that doesn't say much, as I've seen him save me from muggers. Ryuko tells me that there's more useless people out there. I can't really say I'm on the same page, because I fell off a fifteen foot building and she grabbed me, fell, and stuck her heels into the walls and we hit the ground alive (even if we had to pay a five-thousand dollar fee).
Sometimes, I wish that I was someone else. Someone who fit in with my perfect sister, the couple who fought well with swords, the girl who had half a giant scissor blade as a weapon, and the smaller girl who made everybody laugh… and knew how to fight, too.
That's why I question if Seksion's plans were a curse or a gift.
