? POV
Running, I was running. The snow was slowing me down. I have to get to him, before it's too late.
"Don't die" I whisper as I run faster if that was possible. I'm sorry, sorry for everything I've said. Every insult, every put down, every cruel thing said. I'm sorry. Please be alive. I kept running until I finally came to a clearing in the snowy forest. I looked around franticly, where are you? Finally I spot you and him; your clothes are torn and soaked in red. You notice me and when you turn your head you smile a weak smile. "I'm sorry, Norge" And then he rips his sword out of you. Your body falls to the ground, blood flowing out of the wound freely. I react by running as fast as my legs can carry me, as I scream out your name. "DANMARK!"
When I finally got to you, I gathered you in my arms. I put my hands on the wound trying to stop the bleeding. But it was just too big, and too much blood was flowing out for me to be able to stop it. Your hands shakily went up to my face as our eyes met. "Norge." You choked out, your voice horse. "I'm sorry I can't keep my promise to always be there for you. I failed." I tried to speak but words wouldn't form. So I did the only thing I could think of at that moment. I lowered my head and our lips met. Sparks flying just like the very first time they met all those years ago. I pulled away, your hand still on my cheek, "I love you, Nor- No I love you, Lukas. I always will, as long as time goes on. My heart will forever be yours. Never for…get….that…." And with that you hand fell from my cheek, your body going limp in my arms. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe, everything stopped. Tears made their way down my face as it finally sunk in.
You're dead.
…..And you're not coming back this time.
"I-I I love you to you idiot. I'll always love you Matthias."
I looked up to the sky and cried. Letting my tears fall freely. Because what reason did I have to be happy without you here to be happy with me?
You were my light, my smile, my happiness. And now you're gone. Forever.
Goodbye Denmark. Goodbye Matthias.
