I know, I know there are a bunch of those "The Characters Read The Books" fanfics out there, but I really wanted to do this and this one is different, so give it a try. This is set during SoN at the Greek camp. I also thought a lot of the other "characters read the books" one weren't all very good, especially the ones where the characters read the Last Olympian, so I made this!
Enough of my blabbing! On with the story!
3rd Person
Piper was tired of not knowing.
She was tired of not knowing when the boat was going to be finished, how the Romans were going to welcome them (if they even did that), if Leo would ever shut up and if Jason even liked her than anything more than a friend. But most of all, she was tired of not knowing who this Percy Jackson guy was.
She had heard so many different things from so many different people. He was a hero according to many of the newer campers, an idiot according to Clarisse, a loyal friend according to those who knew him well and a good a good prank target said the Stolls.
She had heard so many different things, but she still felt like she still didn't actually know who he was. Everyone said to ask Annabeth, that she knew him best, but Annabeth didn't seem to be able to talk about him for more than half a minute without tearing up. And she knew that, she had tried to bring him up to her with no avail (unles you count one teary girlfriend and another very confused teen, which she didn't)
This was all going through her mind as she walked through the Strawberry Fields one afternoon. It was a gorgeous day, there were only a few clouds overhead, the sun shinning bright and the weather warm. Suddenly a shiver went through her body, stopping Piper in her tracks. Her eye twitched and she relaxed. A bright light flashed before her, causing Piper to shield her eyes.
Standing in front of her, was Hera, queen of the gods. Piper knelt, but her tone was steely and cold.
"What do you want Hera?"
Hera pouted. "That's no way to talk to the Queen of the Gods is it?" she said mockingly. "Anyways, I have heard you want to know about this hero, Percy Jackson, yes?"
Piper's eyes widened in disbelief and she could only mange to spit out, "Excu…Excuse me?"
"I don't blame you. Any-who I have decided that you if you, Leo and Jason are to help on this quest you should know the whole story. That's-" said Hera, pulling a box from out behind her,"-what this is for. Gather up Leo and Jason and meet back here in ten minutes."
