A flash of lightning over the wilderness momentarily illuminates the bedroom, glinting off of a pair of golden rings; fingers entwined, bodies glistening, breathing uneasy.
A crash of thunder follows; muting a sharp gasp as strong hands massage creamy skin and tangle crimson locks.

The storm continues to move closer. Raindrops assail the windows. Lightning illuminates the sky again. The latest cloud to ground strike momentarily highlights the desire within her emerald eyes as they gaze longingly into the ruby-quartz glasses of her husband.
She throws her head back licking her lips before desperately taking his. The thunder roars; the windows rattle; a sharp intake of breath while her legs wrap around his waist.

A momentary flash of daylight is followed by a deafening roar. At this moment… release… A passionate kiss unbroken; heavy moans of ecstasy are exchanged as husband and wife become one.
Without words his voice echoes in her head.

He raises his hand to pull a few loose strands of hair from her eyes. His hand is softly pushed away as she turns, curling up tightly. She buries her face into a pillow.
For the second time he's called her by her name…
The driving rain clatters against the windows masking her quiet sobs.
