A/N: Hey guys! Aspiringwriter75 Here. I found my old DQIX game and mn did the sentiment rush to me. I feel that this story could be better with some character development. Well join me for this ride. Hope you enjoy it!
"Jack, you have come far my pupil." Aquila stated as he observed his old territory named Angel Falls. It was a small, quiet town, perfect for the teenaged Celestrian named Jack. He gazed down at his village he swore to protect with scrutinizing eyes. It had only been a day since Apus Major named him as a full-fledged Guardian and assigned him to guard over his master's old territory.
"As you know a Celestrians duty is to protect the mortals. Like a shepherd to his sheep, you must be vigilant" Aquila continued. Jack stood quiet as he looked at his master. Aquila seemed to have a commanding presence, like you were drawn to listen to him. "Jack are you even listening?" Aquila asked.
"Yeah Aquila just being vigilant like you said." Jack replied.
"Well why do I see monsters preparing to attack that young lady and old man then?" Aquila questioned.
"Wha- oh shit, gotta go save them!" Jack yelled as he spread his wings to fly towards the monsters.
"Two slimes and a Cruelcumber… should be a walk in the park." Jack reasoned.
"Don't underestimate them kid." Aquila said as he landed next to Jack.
The pair worked together seamlessly one by one the monsters fell. Just in time to as the old man and the blue haired girl walked passed them.
"See grandpa, we made it. Just like I said. Of course the guardian must have protected us on the way here. Guardian Jack, thank you for protecting us." The young girl prayed. It was nice to get recognition for the work Jack had done. Soon the girl seemed to be enveloped in a blueish aura.
"Behold Jack, Benevolessence. The crystal like substance that the mortals make and we gather to offer up to the great Yggdrasil. Speaking of which we should head back. Ready?" Aquila asked. Jack simply nodded as he and Aquila took off towards the Observatory.
"I must be somewhere else, go to Apus Major for a debrief." Aquila said as he walked away. The main hall was upstairs which was where Apus Major was located. Jack casually walked up the stairs to the main hall.
"Jack, Guardian of Angel Falls, how did the patrol go?" Apus Major asked.
"Well sir." Jack replied as he saluted Apus Major.
"Tell me Jack, do you feel up for going out there alone for the first time?" Aquila questioned.
"Uhm sir, I think I'm not ready yet." Jack replied.
"Non-sense! You're underestimating yourself kiddo. Go offer up the Benevolessence to the Great Tree and get going." Apus Major commanded.
After offering up the Benevolessence to the Great Tree and talking to Aquila Jack was off to the Protectorate or more specifically Angel Falls. After gathering Benevolessence from the townspeople and helping a ghost rest in peace Jack got back to the Observatory.
"Jack, the day has come for the prophecy to be fulfilled. When the mighty Yggdrasil blooms the celestial chariot will appear and lead us to the almighty himself." Apus Major explained.
" Go now, offer the Benevolessence and watch the world tree bloom."Aquila said.
Jack did as told and the tree bloomed. Out came golden fyggs. But what happened next was unimaginable. The Observatory shooked as malevolent purple lightning came from the world below. The force was so strong that it knocked Jack and the fyggs off the Observatory. Thus starting an amazing journey.
