DORAGON NO YOUJI
Prelude
In times gone past, there was a very powerful dragon. The dragon had many friends and was loved by all the magical creatures in the world except one. A scornful Re'ect in the woods hated the dragon with everything he had and decided that something needed to be done about him. The Re'ect met the dragon in the middle of a clearing by the lake and challenged him to a duel. Of course the noble dragon declined and turned his back, but the Re'ect, filled with anger, attacked the dragon and a ferocious battle raged. However, the dragon did not come out the victor. The Re'ect with a ferocious battle cry struck the dragon in the heart. A mermaid in the lake heard the dragon's last words. "In one thousand years," he said. "I will be reborn, and rid the world of its chaos." And with that, he died. The mermaid told every creature what she had heard and even though the most elegant and powerful creature in the world had died; his words gave them all hope. That one day he would return and rid evil from the world.
Chapter 1
Dragora
Modern day Japan
"Role call!" The teacher yelled. "Kinta, Yamanochi, Yuu, Suzuki, Toyota." All the students yelled, "Here!"
A small blond haired girl raised her hand "Uh, teacher,"
"Yes, Tina what is it?" said the teacher
"You forgot to call Dragora's name." she said.
"Oh, yes, thank you Tina for reminding us of the freak of nature." Said the teacher laughing. Everyone except Tina giggled at Dragora's expense.
Dragora was a small, thin girl with aqua hair and very long ears. These were the causes for her being teased.
Being used to it, she sat in her regular spot, at the back of the class, and took out her books. The class went on, totally not involving her, and finished.
After school Tina found Dragora sitting on a couple of steps. "You don't have to take that you know. Do something or talk to someone."
"I can't trust anyone!" Dragora exclaimed. "If I trust anyone they turn against me! Its all cause of these stupid elf shaped ears! I thought my parents loved me. I trusted them. Now they abuse me! Everyone who ever loved me now hates me and its all because of these ears!!"
"Cant you trust me?" Tina said.
"Trust you? I barely know you!"
"I tried to help you out today."
"I don't need your help!" Dragora yelled. She tried to get up but stumbled and fell to the pavement. Tina was stunned but when she turned her over and tried to wake her up she wouldn't. Tina called for the ambulance but when they got there the doctors did not want to help her because of her ears.
"This is a person a human being! It's your duty to help her!" Tina yelled, totally disgusted with the doctors behavior. They took Dragora to the hospital and treated her for a concussion but released her prematurely for fear that she would bring bad luck.
Once they were out of the hospital Dragora said, "See, not event the hospital would take care of me…"
"Those doctors were a bunch of jerks. There's no need to pay any attention to them."
"Ya ok…" As they walked closer to Tina's house, a little monster was watching them closer and closer.
