1.
Mary came into the newsroom, one morning. Murray was typing away.
"Hi, Mur."
"Hi, Mare. I had a dream about you, last night!"
"Was it a nice dream?"
"It was kinda weird!"
2. Murray's Dream
Mary came into the office. She wore a red dress-and no shoes!
"Hi, Mur."
"Hi, Mare. You're barefooted!"
"Yep! I like to go barefoot. And I see nothing wrong with it!"
She twirled around, girlishly. Then she sat in her chair and propped her feet on the desk.
3.
"Well, I do like to go barefoot," said Mary. "But not at work!"
They both laughed. She sat at her desk. Lou came out.
"Hi, Mr Grant."
"Mary, I had a strange dream about you, last night!"
"You, too? Murray also had one about me!"
He quickly told Lou his dream.
"Mine was even weirder!"
4. Lou's Dream
Lou came into the office.
"Hi, Mur."
"Hi, Lou. Mary wants to see you. I think it's important."
"Thanks."
He went into her office. "Hi, Miss Richards. You wanted to see me?"
"Yes, Lou. Sit down, please." He did this. "There's no easy way for me to say this, so I'll just be blunt. I'm going to have to let you go! I'm sorry."
"Let me go? But why?"
"Your record keeping is terrible! The Shriver file got switched with the Anderson file. I can't have that!"
"Oh!"
"But I can make it up to you in one way."
She took a bottle of scotch out. She opened it, poured some into two glasses, and gave one to him. "Down the hatch!"
They drank them.
"Acain," said Lou.
She poured, and they drank.
"Again!"
They drank.
"Again!"
5.
"Oh, Mr Grant, I'm so sorry I fired you!," Mary responded.
"Well, the scotch was good. I could actually tast it. In fact, I woke up and had a glass!"
They laughed, and he went back into his office.
Throughout all of this, Ted was standing around. Finally, he walked up to Mary."
"As it turns out, I also had a dream about you, last night!"
"You too, Ted?"
"Yep!"
6. Ted's Dream
He was in bed. The bedroom door opened, and Mary walked in. She wore a white nightie with his photo on it-and nothing else!
"Hi, Teddy-Boy! I'm here to play with you!"
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!"
She sat cross-legged on the bed. He got out of the covers and sat cross-legged facing her. A deck of cards appeared. She dealt them out.
"Give me all your 3's," said Ted.
"Go fish!"
7.
"You didn't have any 3's!" He walked back to his dressing room.
Mary and Murray looked at each other, shook their heads, and smiled.
