Marinette slept soundly in the cool spring night. Tikki looked fondly over the girl who was her new vessel for their alternate ego, Ladybug. Though their time together had been short, it had been more adventurous than the last thousand years. The tiny kwami flitted around the room, glancing expectantly at the clock. It was almost midnight. Close enough. She darted through her window and made a beeline to the eiffel tower. She knew she was early, and that no doubt Plagg would be late, but she couldn't help it. It had been too long since she had been with her counterpart. They had a duty to their hosts, but that didn't mean that they weren't able to have feelings too. The two had been alive for so long, they had centuries to fall in love. Tikki giggled as she flipped through the air. She hid herself in the shadows and beams of the tower, waiting for that lazy kwami. Finally he came darting in.
"Sorry I'm late, Adrien would not go to bed. He couldn't stop talking about 'his lady' and how he wanted to know her true identity."
"Do you think we should tell them?" Tikki giggled as she nuzzled into Plagg.
"If only we could, but you know the rules. We host soulmates, but we have no ability to reveal that, if we did it would break our bond with them." Tikki sighed at the statement.
"I know, it's just so hard to see Marinette so miserable."
"It's always hard, but they always find eachother."
"We should leave, we can't stay away from them to long." Plagg sighed, Tikki was always the responsible one.
Ladybug and Chat Noir had been fighting the latest evil for quite some time, she couldn't help but notice that their transformations were about to wear off. She had finally exiled the evil and sent the poor infected innocent back to safety. The pair shared a panicked look as they knew they had no time left on their transformations.
"We could close our eyes." Chat suggested, still trying to respect her wishes. It was that moment that she knew for a fact that he was a trustworthy friend.
"No, I think I can trust you, Kitty. I think maybe it's time." His eyes grew wide, but he smiled and nodded. "Ready? One, two, three!" On her count the two of them undid their transformations. Marriente gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth. Adrien seemed almost as shocked.
"Wha- how?" He sputtered. But she seemed too shocked to say anything, infact she just stood there, unmoving. Lucky for them, Plagg and Tikki zoomed out, both of them making delighted squeeks. They zoomed around each other and began to snuggle and nuzzle each other. This seemed to relax the two teens a bit. They both seemed a bit shyer now that they weren't masked. Finally Adrien spoke again.
"Can I walk you home? We can talkā¦" Marinette nodded, the shock seemed to be wearing off. Their kwami's zoomed down, hiding themselves on their counterparts. The pair of teens seemed unsure of how to proceed. Adrian pressed his hands deep into his pockets while Marinette clasped her arms behind her back. Tikki had hopped that when the two had finally revealed themselves, the teens would have embraced and skipped right to the 'knowing they were soulmates' part. She wanted to scream, because it was so obvious. She was so irritated that she hadn't noticed they were in front of the bakery. She poked her head out of the bag in just enough time to see Marinette and Adrien share a quick kiss. Maybe these two weren't as hopeless as she had thought.
