The gems were hard at work. Peridot and Pearl were hard at work on the drill, Garnet and Steven were chasing cows away, and Amethyst was supervising the operation. Unfortunately, Peridot and Pearl just couldn't figure out what had made the drill start. Was it a faulty ignition switch? Maybe the grounding wire had a short in it? Maybe the sound system was using too much power? They just couldn't figure it out. "Well, that's it" moaned Peridot, "we're doomed. The clusters gonna get us." "As a Pearl?" said Peridot with a mischievous grin. Pearl's fist clenched and Peridot immediately stopped smiling. At that moment, Steven rode past on a cow, shouting "I'm a real cowboy now, huh guys?" Pearl began, "Steven get down from there this-"but was cut off as a flying cow shadowed the sun. She traced the path of the cow back to Garnet, who only shrugged. Just then, the earth began to rumble.
