On October 9th, 1996, a tropical storm front combined with a nor'easter wind to created a super storm. It's course will take it across the Atlantic to the fishing grounds, where the Andrea Gail is on a late season trip.
Percy
I didn't want to get up. But I had to, I had my job to do on the dock. With a huge hangover, I got up and walked to the mirror. Wow, that's a nice Shiner. My fiancé, Annabeth, came up behind me.
"Oh wow. Did I do that?" Was her response to my black eye.
"Yes you did." I confirmed, turning around.
"How did I reach that high?" She asked. I chuckled and started to tickle her. After a few minutes, we got dressed and went down stairs. You see, my mother runs the bar, so can stay here till our money problems are over. Of course, I still pay her a fee every month.
"Stay a little Percy?" I couldn't say no. I would be gone for a few months, and I want to spend my last few days with her. We grabbed a few beers and went back upstairs. Something tells me we will be up there for a bit.
Poseidon
Standing in line, waiting for our pay for this trip. We had a small catch this season, I'm going to make a late season trip to make a bigger profit. Not just for me, but for the crew.
"Small catch Poseidon? Your losing your touch." The boat owner, Zeus Brown, remarked.
"I'm going out in a few days. You want more fish, you will get more fish!" I grabbed the checks, and left for the docks. Along the way, I ran into Athena, the only female Captain in the business.
"See you lost a crew member, I'm sorry." I said as they hauled the body away.
"He was an alcoholic, and thought this would help." Was her reply.
"I'm sorry." She looked at me. I knew what she was thinking.
"Going out for a late trip?" Ah, she knows me so well. I nodded.
"Be careful." She said.
"Always am. Relax, we'll be fine." I told her before walking away. She worries much like my ex wife. I've faced a deadline, and always made a profit. I've faced huge seas and the worst storms, and always brought the crew back safe and sound.
