A Day In The Life
It was a beautiful day. The sun was shining, the Rakk were screeching… and the sound of assault rifles shooting and deep, blood crazed laughter completed the picture of life on the planet that was Pandora. For indeed while daily life on Pandora was a constant struggle filled with blood, death and carnage (and more blood) there was always time to enjoy the little things.
Two men crept slowly over to the ridge that looked over the Skag nest…well one of them crept the other just lumbered a little less quickly. They leaned over to observe the nest as several of the ferocious little pests milled around the entrance.
Roland continued to observe for a moment before reaching for his trusted assault rifle and aimed it down towards the closest Skag. "All right this is the plan. You go around and draw their attention. I'll stay here and lay down-" Roland was cut off mid-sentence by a booming sound just past his left ear. He just enough time to look surprised before the Skag nest exploded sending assorted Skag parts scattered across 20 yards.
Roland turned a deadpan expression to his companion who was now chuckling deeply, a sound like rocks breaking, with a still smoking Mongol Rocket launcher resting on his shoulder. "Brick." His voice betrayed no sign of his exasperation or his admittedly very mild amusement. "Just out of curiosity, are you aware of the concept of overkill?"
Brick stopped chuckling and turned a confused expression on Roland. "What?" he answered in a bemused tone.
Roldand allowed a sigh to escape him and muttered under his breath. "Only on Pandora."
