Author's Notes: This is just an odd fluffish little thing I thought up one morning in homeroom because neither Cosmos nor Omega Supreme ever seem to get any. Meant to be a one shot, but I may do another chapter.
Cosmos' sonar nearly skipped a pulse when he saw the approaching ship. "Omega Supreme! It-it's been a long time!" Cosmos cried eagerly. Space was an endless companionless void, and every interaction with another was cherished. There were times Cosmos became so lonely, a visit from Astrotrain would've been appreciated.
"Cosmos," The shuttle replied in a deadpan tone. Both spacecrafts pulled out of hyperspace.
"What brings you all the way out to subquadraint seventeen?"
"Returning from Cybertron. Under orders to bring energon," at this Omega Supreme transformed and a sparkling cube of energon rested in his enormous palm.
"Thank you," Cosmos gasped. He was on patrol for cycles on end in remote parts of the galaxy, and refueling was a nuisance.
Even though he was under orders to find him, Cosmos couldn't help but feel giddy at the fact Omega had specifically come to see him.
Cosmos zipped over to the large palm and grabbed the energon cube. "Nebulous Nine went supernova. It's beautiful. Maybe you'd like to go see it with me before you have to return to Earth?" The saucer asked eagerly.
"Nebulous Nine implosion imminent," The shuttle replied.
Cosmos sighed wistfully. Floating around in deep space he'd convinced himself it was a good thing their meetings were so sparse. It would make him appreciate the little time they had together more. Instead when they could finally meet their visits were filled with failed conversations, awkward silences, and dropped hints that were never picked up on.
"How are things on the Earth front?" Cosmos may have been frustrated, but he was resilient.
"Autobots lead offensive attack seven cycles ago. Autobots successful."
"Wonderful." Cosmos sighed and took a sip of his energon cube.
"You look nice Omega." What was one more failed advance in the pit of failure he called flirting? Anyway it was a harmless enough compliment right? Except that Omega Supreme was currently covered in space dust and cosmic debris.
"Comment acknowledged," The shuttle replied blandly.
He'd romantically fanaticized that love could reverse the effects of the Robo Smasher. Cosmos dreamed that the corruption could be reversed with patience and affection. Omega Supreme would reciprocate when he realized there was more to his existence than revenge. Wouldn't he?
In reality Cosmos realized for the thousandth time that nothing cold ever transpire between he and Omega Supreme. Omega never responded to any of his advances, or acknowledged him more than any other Autobot in the slightest. The stoic guardian and the lofty minibot spy just weren't meant to be.
Cosmos sighed again wistfully and drained the energon cube.
He couldn't even begin to consider the physical problems they'd face. Omega was infinitely larger than him, and could crush him so easily. He was so small he could never really kiss him, or stimulate him properly. Omega's fingers so large it would be more likely for him to experience an erotic crushing than a pleasurable tryst.
"Omega!?" Cosmos stuttered with uncertainty. In his wistful musings Cosmos failed to realize Omega Supreme had enveloped him in his massive hand and pressed him to his chest plate.
Cosmos' audios were assaulted by the sound of a mammoth fuel pump pounding beneath the guardian's armor, but he heard what Omega said next and it could've caused him to reboot.
"Affection: recognized. Feeling: reciprocated."
