A young girl tugging at her mother's skirt, wanting to show off a drawing that will surely be hung with pride. A slightly older boy eating ice cream with his mother, both laughing at something the boy said. A young woman caring for her child, looking tired but happy.
How could she not be jealous?
The first thing children cry for is their mother. Cries like that were precious to her. So, that denial was like a slap in the face. Of course, after the sin, it was more like a large truck had run her over.
She was denied the one thing that she yearned for. Yet, through it all, her husband remained the strong concrete pillar in her life. (If anything, the incident caused them both to lean upon each other.)
But as she watches the two strong-willed boys talk, study, argue, sleep, she pauses to take it all in. Perhaps it was luck that she found the Elric brothers. Maybe it was fate that they found her.
Disclaimer: =_= Do I honestly look like I could make a story that cool?
A/N: First things first: thank you ever so much razra for the beta! (I hope my mistakes weren't too amateurish. ^^;)
I have a FictionPress account now. :D It's under the same username as my current one. I'll be posting a new poem soon! (Withing a week, at least.) It's definitely longer than my other poems and I'm very proud of it.
Btw, has anyone been in contact with midnight psych? I haven't been able to contact him/her...
