Writers comment: Okay, so this is my first entry out here. I'm not native English, so there may be some stupid mistakes, and I'm sorry about them. I try my best :) Well, this is only the preface, so it may be a bit confusing ' Hove you enjoy ^^

I've never understood how a battlefield must be, because I've never had to. I've lived an isolated life, quiet but good, even though I didn't appreciate it at that time. At that time, I just thought everything was boring. I didn't understood why I had to get myself through every day which was just as dreadful as the other. I did love that I could meet up with my friend, but I could have just done that when she was not in school.

Now, when I'm in the middle of a battlefield, where dead is the only escape, I wish I could just go back to the life I once found boring. It didn't matter if I had to go to school in one thousand years. I was just too scared. Once, I would have appreciated this difference in the normally boring rhythm. I had been envious of all the "fun" the other members in my family had had, when Bella was still a human, but now I did understood why they said that I should not.

A big bang acquired left to me. I couldn't move, so I was forced to look at Jakes figure being thrown through the air. He was bleeding from an injury in his throat, but it didn't look that bad. I could see several cuts all over his body, but it was the throat which looked the worst. The blood was flowing silently down in a small stripe, and dripped onto the earth. It was at least not something which could kill him, but it would still make him suffer. Maybe not a lot, but only that small amount did matter to me.

The woman walked slowly over to him, lifting each of her feet higher than she had to. I guess she tried to make it look much more dramatic to Jacob, like she wanted to stump on him. She took her time and licked her knife which had Jakes blood on it, tasting his red blood. The anger started to boil inside of me. Jake closed one of his eyes. He was in pain. He tried to ignore it, but when I looked closer, the wound in his throat were deeper than what you first could see.

"Oh my, how tasteful you dogs are," she laughed, and I could feel the horror spread in my chest. Jake didn't answer her, but turned back to his wolf form, but only seconds later was he forced back to his human shape, because the woman cut him deeply in one of the front legs, so he could not move too well, being in his wolf form. This cut was big, and blood started flowing all over, painting the earth red. Once again, she licked Jake blood off the knife while laughing... She was just teasing him. I wished I at the very least was able to cry, but no matter what I did, not even tears could form themselves in my eyes. I wanted to help Jake so badly, even if it would mean I would die. If I just could keep him alive, it would be worth it.

I tried, once again to move, but I could not. I've never understood how a battlefield must be, and now I'm the reward of this insane battle between sub natural creatures.
