I was walking down the paths of the Sacaen Plains wandering and s`earching for my teacher. Everything changed when I was suddenly slashed by bandit who was running towards me. I then passed out from the blood loss and shock. A couple hours later, I woke up in the hut of a girl who was busy tending to my wounds.

"Excuse me miss. Who are you?" I asked politely.

The girl turn around and said, "My name is Lyn, I found you passed out on the plains slowly bleeding to death."

After learning this I was shocked that I almost died. After I learned her name I told her my name.

I sat up and said, "Miss Lyn, My name is Mark. I am in dept that you saved my life."

"Mark, please just call me Lyn," she said with a warm smile.

I blushed a little after Lyn smiled at me. After I smiled a little back, we heard a loud thumping noise outside.

Lyn cried out, "Oh No! Bandits are attacking the neighboring villages! Mark stay inside, I might be able to ward them off."

I then grabbed her arm and I told her, "I'm coming with you, I will help you out."

Lyn said, "Mark... you don't have to do this, your wounds are still healing, If you go fight you might die."

I said calmly, "I'll take my chances. I want to help out you and all those innocent people."

Lyn smiled calmly and said, "Ok Mark, lets go."

We ran out with our swords and started to attack the bandits. Lyn attacked with blistering speed and deadly assassin like skills. I attacked with great reflexes and with amateur skills. Suddenly I heard Lyn scream out in pain. I turned around and saw her wounded by a bandit.

When I started running towards Lyn, she cried out, "Mark, stop! Run away, don't worry about me."

I cried out with some tears running down my face, "Lyn! Don't be stupid! I will save you!"

I grabbed one of the bandits' axes and threw one at the bandit hurting Lyn. I lopped off the bandit's head in one fatal toss. I then ran up to Lyn to see if she was ok.

When I approached her, Lyn then hugged me and started to cry, she said, "Mark, please don't ever do that again."

I hugged her back and said, "Don't worry, I won't try that again. At least you're alright Lyn."

Then she saw blood drip down my cloak, she was horrified at what she say.

I said to her, "Lyn don't worry, you're alright now and that's what matters."

She then sobbed more and cried out, "But Mark! What about your missing arm!'"

"Don't worry Lyn, It's only an arm," I said smiling calmly.

We then walked back to Lyn's hut with the sunset behind our backs.
