Mabel burst into the school auditorium, buzzing. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon, c'mon!" she said jumping. Her twin brother awkwardly shuffled into the room. "Mabel, I really don't wanna.." She ignored him.
"Dipper! Let's go dance!" she urged him. Dipper looked doubtfully at the crowd of high schoolers. Him and Mabel had recently turned fourteen, and the other freshmen of their age were either eating candy or huddled in a corner. "Mabel, nobody else is dancing…" he said, turning around. Mabel grabbed his arm. "Then let's MAKE them just need an icebreaker!"
Dipper searched frantically for a way out of this. "Why don't you go dance with…" his eyes scanned the dance floor. "Them!" He pointed at a blonde in a fairy costume and a boy wearing a basic karate uniform. The girl danced zanily, waving around a bright pink wand thing that didn't really match her light purple fairy dress. The boy desperately tried to snatch it out of her hands, exclaiming, "You're going to HURT somebody!"
Mabel looked over at the two, who were about a year older than them. "Hmmm…." she said scratching her chin. "Okay!"
Dipper let out his breath in relief. "I'm just gonna go get some…. Um, fruit punch." he said turning around. To his surprise, Mabel grabbed his arm. "No," she said. "We're dancing with them, remember?"
Dipper shook his head rapidly. "N-no I meant YOU go dance…", he said. It was no use. Mabel had her mind set on totally embarrassing them in their first year of high school. She marched right over to the pair of juniors, dragging Dipper behind her.
"HI!" she said, bubbly. Dipper braced himself for ridicule. Instead, they got a just as bubbly. response. "HIII!" cried the girl. "I'm STAR, and and this is Marco! Marco say hi!"
The boy looked surprisingly calm, as if he was used to this. "Hi. You're new here. Just so you know, this school isn't exactly.."
"AS BORING AS OTHER SCHOOLS!" exclaimed the girl.
