The proposal:
Sophie walked slowly towards the steps leading to her home. She could not believe how beautiful it was. The white building was naturally decorated with pink and white flowers that caressed the old home. As she reached the door she took a deep breath before realising the note that was situated in the middle of the brass door. She took it and a smile crept over her face as she read the words written before her:
'Meet me around the back, where I'll be waiting x'
Changing her original route she turned swiftly and walked around to the back. As she pushed open the gate, her eyes became emotional and her smile spoke her feelings towards the man who stood in front of her. As she peeled her eyes away from him she gasped at the gorgeous sight in front of her. He was standing on top of a makeshift balcony which looked exactly as the one did almost 1 year ago in Italy. At the sound of Charlie's voice she once again looked at him.
'This place may not be as romantic as Italy, especially the weather' he began.
Sophie dropped her head and laughed a little.
'But to me it is the most perfect place in the universe, and that's not because it's London, or because of the history, it is simply because you are standing here with me today. It was exactly one year ago today that I first set my eyes on you and I was indeed a complete ass, however even then I knew that there was something special about you and my Gran was right there is only one Sophie in this world and without her I would still be that ass you met back then, and so I stand before you today not only completely and passionately in love with you but also wanting to spend the rest of my life with you,' Charlie smiled rather nervously ad slowly knelt down on one knee while retrieving a mall while velvet box.
Sophie gasped and the water in her eyes spilt over as her smile grew even bigger.
'Sophie without you I am a heartless man with no purpose so I ask you today if you will do me the highest honour and become my wife with…' Charlie was interrupted as Sophie ran towards the balcony shouting 'yes' as many times as she could. He jumped down and met her below the balcony. As the both smiled and looked into one another's eyes he took her in one hand and brushed her hair back in the other before kissing his new fiancé so passionately and lovingly that they both forgot that the world existed. In that one moment they were completely lost in each other's arms.
