Prologue
After being disowned by her family, Juliette Devereaux married into the infamous Dupre clan (known best for their inability to speak with the Other Side) otherwise known as "that family" in the Quarter. Much to the dismay of her sisters, Jane-Anne and Sophie, Juliette sought to further isolate herself by taking up her college sweetheart's surname in the marriage. The Devereaux family staked open claim on any children resulting from their union, and Juliette spent years of her life trying keeping them away from her children. The Devereaux family, however, did succeed in kidnapping Sawyer on the playground when she was younger. Sawyer does not remember much of her time with her mother's family, but knows it resulted in the crescent birthmark on her shoulder.
Before we begin our tale, here's a little info on our witches.
Maureen Dupre
Faceclaim Ashley Benson, name inspired by Maureen Johnson from Rent. Maureen was living it up in Chicago working as a pavement artist (like a con-artist but with a cleaner name) and attending classes at the Art Institute. Maureen is a firm believer in family, but after a falling out with her sister Sawyer she decided to go her own way. In the end, after a distressing call from her younger brother, Noel, she's the first one back in New Orleans ready to cast a hex and take names. However, when Marcel keeps her under quarantine until Sawyer arrives.
Sawyer Dupre
Faceclaim Dianna Agron, name inspired by Peyton Sawyer from One Tree Hill. After a huge falling out with her sister Maureen, Sawyer took resistance in Sydney, Australia to further purse her passion of criminology. Throughout the years, Sawyer has kept in constant contact with her brother, Noel. So when she got a rather disturbing phone call from terrified sibling, Sawyer knew she had to go back to her home of New Orleans, and face her less than desired family situation and history.
Althea Dupre
Faceclaim Holland Roden, name inspired by queenchesh's demon-warrior dog. When her sisters went to war with each other, Althea stayed to hold down fort. Her passion remained with her family lineage and fashion.
