A/N: Da-da-da-da! Three updates in one night! In all fairness though, I did write the third chap to Ryuk's apples a few weeks ago, and just forgot to upload it. I'm sorry! Anyways, here's the promised Spider incident, mentioned in "Horror Stories", which will be updated as soon as I figure out where it's going.
In this story, L and Light are chained together, and Light may or may not know he's Kira-it doesn't really matter.

It was a normal day at Headquarters-well, as normal as any day when you're chasing a psychotic mass-murderer with a killer notebook- when a shrill screech penetrated the studious atmosphere. Fearing that it was Misa visiting Light, everybody flinched, when Matsuda noticed on the moniter that Misa was reading a magazine in her room. Looking around, he noticed Light standing on the desk, with L still sitting (albeit sideways) in his swivel chair, which had been knocked over by Light's leap to his new perch. Fearing a supernatural attack from Kira, Matsuda exclaimed "OMGS, WAT IZZIT LIGHT?", in the text-messaging style of a sixteen-year-old girl. This embarrasment was nothing to what Light was suffering from though, as he pointed a trembling finger at a speck of dirt that, on closer inspection, had eight legs.
L picked himself up off the ground and glared at Light. "Yagami-kun, spiders cannot hurt you unless they are venomous. Since there are no venemous spiders in Japan currently, this arachnid is not doing any harm." His arguments did no good. From the safety of the desk, Light screamed, "I DON'T CARE IF IT'S NOT HURTING ANYONE, I WANT IT DEAD!". Upon hearing this, L increased the probability of Light being Kira by about 3%, but was smart enough not to voice this out loud, for fear of aggravating the already emotional young man.
It was at that precise moment that Misa burst into the room, yelling about how she would save Light from the evil! She had no clue what evil it was, but anything that her Lighty-bulb had to face must have been perilous! And entirely by accident, while running to save her boyfriend from the imagined threat, she stepped on the spider, squishing it mercilessly. To her astonishment, Light glomped her. An actual Light. This was too much for Misa to handle, and she fainted.
When all the mess had been cleaned up (L's cakes had been on top of the desk along with Light), and Misa had safely been locked in a closet, out of harm's way, L turned to Light, and mentioned that wishing living creatures dead was a point in favour of him being Kira.
Light's scream of frustration was heard all across the city. L winced, covering his ears, and muttered under his breath"That scream has inreased the probablility of you being born as a girl by 2%"
