Time to Say Goodbye

At times like these, immortality sucks. I used to not care when my owner died. Many times I looked forward to it, the day I would finally be free. But this time was different. This was the first time that I loved my owner and willingly put her life before mine during battle.
Then she didn't call. When she needed us most, she didn't call, and I couldn't cross over on my own. A barrier of her making stopped me. She died that day and many of the Zodiac practically died with her. Her friends protected some of our keys, and others wished to be released for someone new to contract them.
My key stayed with the Master of Fairy Tail, upon my request. He promised to keep it out of harms way until I was ready to be contracted again. I doubted I ever would be, and standing here, looking down at her grave, I felt that more than ever.
Yeah, immortality sucks, but being helpless is twenty thousand times worse.
