A/N: This was written after I found out that Jessalyn and Nicky weren't
going to return to Boston Public for season 3. And I dislike Harry and
Ronnie together to no end! He and Lauren are meant for each other! This
takes place the night of the season finale of season 2. Remember when Harry
was told he could pick one person to stay with him?
Dedication: This is for the Lauren/Harry shippers at fan forum! I hope you guys, especially, like this!

"Lauren," Harry said, answering the doctor's question.
Lauren's heart fluttered at the way he said her name. She always loved his voice and now that he wanted her, only her, to stay with him, it meant so much more.
The staff left the room, leaving Harry with his ex. She walked up next to his bed and placed a hand on his cheek, "How are you feeling?" She whispered. Despite the marks on his face, he still looked incredibly handsome, but terribly weak. She wanted to ease his pain, and take it all away.
"I'm feeling better now that we're alone," Harry replied. He took her hand from his face and held it in his, intertwining their fingers. "I've missed you, Lauren. Nothing has been the same without you." Lauren stared at him, lovingly, "I've missed you, too. I'm sorry I called it quits. There was just so much going on. I didn't want to hurt you in any way. And with me being so preoccupied, I didn't want you to think I didn't have time for you. I had no way out."
Harry hushed her, "It's okay. I understand. We were all going through dramatic and hectic things. You probably did the right thing. At this point, it's hard to wonder what would've happened."
Lauren smiled, warmly, "What's going on with you and Ronnie, by the way?" Her smile slightly faded, at the memories of them two together. Harry shook his head, "I was only there for Ronnie when she needed me. She took it as something more. I hugged her once, and I found myself wishing it were you. I still have this pang of guilt in me. I still love you, Lauren. Ronnie or anyone else can't change that."
The room went dead silent. Lauren's smile didn't return right away. She thought of what he said. 'I still love you, Lauren. Ronnie or anyone else can't change that.' His words came out like harmony. Like a peaceful song a couple in love could dance and sway to all night.
Harry brought their hands to his lips and kissed hers. "I love you, Lauren." His heated words sent chills down her spine and his breath warmed the back of her hand. She gave him a caring grin sat on the edge of the bed. She placed her free right hand on his face and her thumb caressed his cheek.
"I love you, too, Harry." She slowly leaned over his chest and pressed her lips against his. His free arm wrapped around her as their kiss became more heated, more passionate.
Lauren ended the lip lock, slowly, worried that she was causing his body pain with some of her weight against it. "How about you stay at my place when I get out of here?" Harry asked, sweetly. Lauren nodded, calmly, but inside, she burst with excitement and glee.
Lauren pulled a nearby chair up to the side of the bed and sat in it. She rested her hand on Harry's chest and he wrapped his left arm around her back. Lauren soon fell asleep to the rhythm of Harry's breathing. and Harry followed, at the relaxation of Lauren's heart beating against him.

A/N: Don't have to R&R if you don't want to. I don't know if I'll be adding chapters to this.
