Cordelia pulled another ornament out of the box and carefully hung it on
the tree. Angel walked in from his office and sighed. "I really don't see why
we need a Christmas tree in here. Don't you already have one in your
apartment?"
Cordelia nodded. "But Dennis decorated it when I wasn't home and I want
to decorate one! Besides...this office is utterly bland!"
Angel just shook his head and went back into his office.
Doyle walked in the door caring a large bag. "I didn't know if you wanted
regular candy canes or colored ones so I got both...and a few boxes of
tinsel..."
Cordelia grinned and rushed over to where he was still standing in the
doorway.
Doyle looked up and smirked. "Mistletoe, Princess..." He set the bag down on
the floor and pulled her into his arms, kissing her softly.
Cordelia pulled away slowly, blushing slightly. She looked at the bag and
picked it up, carrying it over to the couch. She set it down and began
sifting through it.
Doyle walked in and stood behind her as she pulled a wrapped box out of
the bag. She turned to him. "What's this?"
Doyle just smiled warmly at her. "Open it..."
Cordelia pulled the box off and stared at what lay inside. Tears forming
in her eyes. "Doyle? They're beautiful! Thank you!" Cordelia wrapped her arms
around him and gave him a loving kiss before putting her new ornaments on the
tree.
Angel walked out of his office a little while later to find Doyle and
Cordelia cuddling on the couch, gazing at the Christmas tree. He walked over
and stood looking at it. "Where'd these come from?" He fingered three red
ball ornaments with Cordelia, Doyle and Angel written in perfect gold script
on them.
Cordelia smiled. "An early birthday present from my new boyfriend..."
Angel just smiled at Doyle. "Nice..."
Cordelia mumbled "very" before sharing a passionate kiss with her love.
