Knock knock knock. "Penny?" knock knock knock. "Penny?" knock knock knock. "Penny?"

Penny sighed and opened the door. "Hey Sheldon, what's up?" she asked.

Sheldon surprised her by rushing past her and closing the door quickly. "You have to help me." He said looking through the peephole.

Penny laughed lightly, confused by his actions. Something that is not uncommon with Sheldon. "Help you with what, what are you doing?" she asked.

Sheldon turned to look at her. "She's still there." He said quietly, as if he were afraid someone would hear him.

Penny raised her brows. "Who' still where?"

"Amy." He said, looking through the peephole once again. "She's always there."

Penny chuckled. "Well sweetie, she's your girlfriend and your roommates gone for a while, it's natural that she spends a lot of time at your place."

Sheldon sighed and turned to sit down. "I know that, that part I understand, but I need her to go now and I can't tell her that." He sighed again. "She'll just get upset, and nobody wants that."

Penny smiled and sat on the couch beside him. "Ok I'll tell you what, how about I see if she wants to go to a movie with me tonight, that way it'll get her out of your hair and it's a nice way to do it."

Sheldon smiled and awkwardly patted her on the shoulder. "Thank you Penny, you're a pal." He said before standing up. "Shall we go?" he asked.

"Oh, right now?" she asked and Sheldon nodded. "Yes right now." He said as he hurried her along.

Penny knew when Lenard left that she would have to pick up on the Sheldon duty, but what she hadn't realized, is how much she was going to enjoy it. She hadn't realized how much she had missed her friend, the friend that Sheldon was when it was just the two of them.

But as Sheldon criticized her clothes and the way she drives all in one breath, she knew that the enjoyment would only last so long…after all, this was Sheldon.
