This originally started out as a story for class, but I decided to post it here! I assure you, my work is usually never this short. READ THE SECOND AUTHOR'S NOTE AT THE BOTTOM PLEASE!

The Doctor's Point of View

Rose's grip was slipping. The Doctor could see that, as she clung to the lever that kept her alive. "Hold on!" he shouted. She just had to hang on for a few more moments, then the rift would close and everything would be alright.

But he could see it in her eyes that she couldn't. Rose was clinging to life by only her fingertips. Then, those fingers gave out and she flew towards the void. "DOCTOR!" Rose screamed, as she was sucked away from him.

It was as if everything was in slow motion. His only thought: Save Rose Tyler. In a flash, the Doctor let go of what was keeping him tied to the universe. He let go of life.

He caught up to her quickly, wrapping her in his arms. This was it. The end of the Time Lords. No more regenerations, no more adventure, no more anything. Rose buried her face in his shoulder and started to sob. The Doctor closed his eyes, waiting for death.

But then, Pete materialized out of thin air. Grabbing Rose - and, to an extent, the Doctor - he managed to travel back to the parallel universe.

Rose Tyler's Point of View

Rose knew she was safe when her feet hit solid ground. Slowly, she pulled out of the Doctor's embrace. Only to be yanked into a suffocating hug by her mother. "I thought I was never going to see you again," Jackie cried. "Pete got there just in the nick of time!"

"I'm fine Mum," she said reassuringly. "Me and the Doctor." Jackie immediately let go of her daughter in order to hug the Time Lord.

"I'm glad you're okay too," she whispered. He patted her back awkwardly.

"Where's Mickey?" asked Rose.

"He went home to his grandmother. Said something about finding other people. He still thinks you're gone forever," answered Pete.

A loud gasp interrupted their conversation. "The TARDIS!" the Doctor shrieked. "It's still in the other dimension! What am I going to do? I need my TARDIS!"

"You could always stay here. Get a house, lead a normal life," Jackie suggested.

"Oh no, please kill me."

"Come on then," Pete said, ignoring the hysterical Time lord. "Let's go home."

I wrote this before I watched season 4 and discovered the awesomeness that is Donna Noble. I was thinking of writing a (much longer) second chapter that contains the Doctor and Rose going back to the other dimension and meeting everyone. Each chapter after this one would contain AT LEAST 1,000 words. P.M. me or leave me a review saying whether I should or not! Bye!
