Our light, Our darkness
I believe in the light, but my darkness takes flight.
All of those I met in the dark seems to come and take me apart.
But those who seem to always believe pull me back in my time of need.
Why is the darkness within me? Maybe one day I will see.
My light, my darkness.
I have looked at those who seem to be in trouble sometimes, like they need me.
but when I look to see their face they run away, if in disgrace.
Do they see darkness in my heart or envy the light that sets us apart?
My light, my darkness.
Now with my light most people see a cheerful boy, I know that's me.
And with my light I try to show, "There's a bigger light that everyone should know."
But those who don't care what the future holds they look and say, "What does it show?"
"If there was light the world should know then let it shine and have the world glow"
If only they knew where the light nests. It's right there, beating behind your chest.
Your light, your darkness.
I seen kids in elementary school who was once angels, but are now fools.
The light planted when they came to the earth was hidden in the darkness, like it had no worth.
Even those reading this may also boast, "I have no darkness. Light is my host."
Darkness is not fatal, to tear you from the light. It's to show you that light is always in sight.
So use the darkness and show them all that darkness made you stronger, it didn't make you fall.
Your light, your darkness.
Within the darkness there is always that shine of light in the shadows, yours and mine.
So when you're lost in the darkness just remember this, The light is near you, it's never amiss.
And when you need help just call on a friend. Their light will guide you till the very end.
"Our hearts are connected," as Sora said. There's a light out there. It's never dead.
