Notes: I started this a little bit ago. I'm not really happy with it and I was gonna fix it however, due to current events in canon, I ran out of time. I am really unhappy with the outcome.

War was definitely ugly. Before the fourth ninja war Sakura still felt like a kid. War had aged her for sure. Long gone were when she could look across the classroom and stare lovingly at Sasuke. Dreaming of a future with lots of black haired Uchiha babies. She always thought until very recently of growing old with Sasuke. She envisioned the pair of them white haired retired shinobi, sipping tea on their front porch. Somehow, she was sure- Naruto with his way, would change Sasuke's heart. There was hope, there was always- no. Hope deserted her a she was healing her one hundred and fifty-seventh member of the joint shinobi forces.

Sasuke... her love could not save him.

Between war and revenge, revenge was the ugliest. Revenge caused wars, ending way more lives than necessary. No more daydreams, fantasies about love conquering all. Love had no place in the shinobi business, Naruto loved Sasuke. Sakura heard Naruto promise to kill Sasuke with her own ears. Still- there was never any hope for Sasuke he was beyond help even before he left. She knew that now, the thong if he'd have let her come along, she knew that she would have followed. Would she today, have been another loved one Naruto would have vowed to kill?

No, she was in the right place. The business of warfare had taken her closer to the Leaf, right where Sasuke was headed. Right where Naruto would stop him. Naruto and Sasuke's battle was far enough away to not be in any immediate danger but close enough to hear. Sakura would know, when it was all over.

Over, it was. The silence was deafening, her heart felt as if it were hammering out of her chest. Which one? Which one did she lose?

Naruto...she had to get to him, she had to let him know. There's nothing to forgive, that in time they would be all right. They would get through this together.

If it were Sasuke, she still didn't know if she had the nerve to end his life herself. Sure she tried, and she knew her heart would never let her hand end his life. Sakura love him.

Naruto, but Naruto means everything he says. Naruto is brave, Naruto saved her life so many times she had lost count. Naruto was there, saving his village over and over again. Sakura loved him.

She made it to the battlefield where two seemingly lifeless shinobi, the two men she really loved- lay lifeless.

A/N: Interpret this as you may. I dunno who I killed. Is this even in "interpretable?" I'm sorry this is crap.
