The Best Gift Ever

A/N: This is another short story I wrote. To get this story better, it would help if you read 'Late Night Walk' and ' I love you more'. I am just going to make these short stories into a series kind of thing ;). Hope you enjoy!

The Bullpen: 8:30 a.m.

"Hi everyone!" Sue says as she and Jack walk in together, holding hands.

"Hey, Sue!" responds Bobby as they all come over to give her a hug. " So, how was the Honeymoon?"

"It was really lovely. Thanks again Bobby for the room. You were right, Australia is a beautiful place." Sue said, smiling.

"Ahh, see? Wha'd I tell ya? The Down Under is very charming." Bobby replied.

"I hear a 'but' coming." Jack said walking towards his desk.

"But, it's not as charming as me." Bobby stated with a cheesy grin.

"Okay, I must have heard wrong or entered in at the wrong time and in the wrong conversation, but did I just hear Bobby say he was charming?" Myles asked as he walk in the bullpen.

"You always enter in at the wrong time and wrong conversation, Myles. Everything is wrong about you." Lucy muttered. "But, for once, I agree with you, I think we all heard wrong on that one."

"Ahh, and yet another time your Aussie charm is forgotton yet again, Koala Boy." Myles said sarcastically at Bobby.

"Well, at least I have a charm on most people, unlike you." Bobby replied with yet another cheesy grin. Leaving everyone snickering as they got back to work.

"Okay, I think I'm done for the day. My eyes are gonna fall out if I read another word of Randy's 'wonderful' paperwork." said Jack. As he looked towards Sue, he could see her nodding off as well. He walked over to her and rubbed her arm gently. She looked up at him and smiled a sleepy smile. "You ready to go, honey?" he asked.

Sue yawned a 'sure' and they siad their goodbyes and left.

Jack and Sue's apartment: Two Weeks Later

Sue was getting more and more tired during the two weeks and starting to get sick ever since 3 days ago. Jack was becoming more concerned for her too. Finally, he pulled her to the couch and they both sat down,

"Honey, we need to talk." Jack said.

"Okay, what about?" Sue asked.

"I think we both know. I know I keep asking you, but sweetheart, are you sure you are okay? I'm worried about you. You keep getting worse each day." Jack replied concerned.

"I knew you weren't going let me get by this long. I was hoping you would wait 'till Easter, but, I guess I'll tell you now. I...I'm pregnant." she said.

"You...You're pregnant?!" Jack asked

"Yes...you're not angry are you? Honey, I can't read you face expression right now." she asked.

"Angry? No, Sue. I'm not angry at all. Far from it! I'm happy, excited, thrilled! Oh, Sue, we are gonna be parents! I'm gonna be a dad!" Jack responded getting more and more excited as it sunk in." How long have you known?"

"About two weeks now. I was going to tell you when I first found out, but I figured it would be a good Easter present." Sue said.

"Well, Mrs. Hudson, it is the best gift ever." he said as he pulled her into a long kiss filled with love, excitement, and joy.
