Disclaimer: ummm obviously Naruto isn't mine, because if it was, I wouldn't still be just writing fanfictions.
As she leapt from tree to tree, she can sense his chakra becoming stronger. She was getting closer. She suddenly stopped only to find him.
Today was the day Haruno Sakura went on a mission to retrieve Sasuke. Jumping down from the tree as she said, "are you ready to come back yet?"
Sasuke, already knowing she was there, just scoffed and tried to walk away. With high velocity Sakura blocked him.
Her speed and lack of emotion impressed Sasuke, for he has never seen her like this. He always saw her drooling over him with the rest of his fangirls. Always stalking him and squealing in a very high-pitched voice. Remembering the times when he'd call her annoying and ignore her. Rejecting her and giving her a look with his eyes so cold.
"You've improved," he said plainly with a blank expression.
"Today's the day Uchiha," she started while she slowly pulls out a katana from behind her, "either you come back or I'll kill you!"
Sasuke dodged a kunai thrown at him, cutting the end of his hair. Sakura used her incredible strength to attack him, and the battle went on.
"Is Sakura-chan back yet?" yelled a very worried Naruto.
"She isn't back yet N-Naruto-kun," The shy Hyuuga said in dismay, "But Tsunade-sama said she reported that she f-found Sasuke-san."
"Oh, ok," Naruto said with as he left with hope-filled eyes.
Back in the battle, "Sakura Fubuki No Jutsu," the small paper bombs exploded as Sakura quickly got out a shuriken to throw at Sasuke.
The thick smoke started to fade away and a log appeared from behind, replacing Sasuke. Then a rush of wind came from her side and an even breathing behind her.
"Maybe you should've just stayed in Konoha," He suggested, clearly insulting the way she fights.
"And keep on running away from those stupid fanboys, yeah right!" she replied. She flung her arm back to hit Sasuke, he didn't see it coming, resulting a badly bruised face as he spat blood out of his mouth.
"Hn," was all he said in response, wiping the blood that was dripping from the side of his mouth.
Sakura threw the shuriken that she was holding. She dodged the demon windmill shuriken that Sasuke launched at her.
Their fight lasted for about two hours until Sasuke pulled out his katana to kill Sakura, but she picked up a tree to block it and supposedly drop it on him. He dodged the tree and made handseals with tremendous speed.
"Katon Goukakyou no jutsu," a gigantic fireball flamed out of his mouth burning everything in its path.
This caught Sakura off guard, and to her it happened slowly. The images of her past, the times team seven spent together, the times Sasuke would ignore her and when she would ignore Naruto.
She came back to reality and pushed him against a tree, and then Sasuke shoved the katana through her from behind, also stabbing himself.
"I-I'm so sorry Sakura, I love you too," satisfied with his last word, he closed his eyes to passionately kiss Sakura before he lost his life.
His breathing stopped, even his pulse and his head hung loose, leaning on his shoulder, his lips still touching Sakura's. Though she didn't have a last word, only a single teardrop fell from her emerald green eyes, and thus she also lost her life. But she lost it knowing that the man she loved also loved her.
