Prologue – Chase
I ran toward the Anomalies United Academy, that towered in the sky. I needed to get to my boyfriend, Ben. Otherwise, he wouldn't be my boyfriend anymore… The predicted storm rolled in, rain dropping by the gallons. I didn't care; I needed Ben this exact moment! I tripped over myself and fell down, I cried out in pain but still got up and kept going.
The old black gates were open, so I ran in to the school grounds. I opened the front door hastily and sprinted to the Stage in the Auditorium. I was too late.
Ben had just finished kissing the blond in his arms, she had platinum blond hair and was average height and was fairly thin. She leaned against his muscled body and said, "Oh Ben. That other boy was never good enough for you."
"Yeah, I don't know what I saw in him."
Those words broke me, shattered my entire being. I was no longer, his 'beautiful little angel.'
Then I was glued back together instantly, I didn't need him. Not anymore. I broke out laughing, "You think I'm not good enough, Bitch?"
She turned to look at me pointing at her, guffawing, "Way better than you, you dirty human!"
"No, you and you're new boyfriend have a happy life together! Paul, Andrew, It didn't work. I'm fine!" I sincerely smiled, still very sad about losing Ben, but that was nothing compared to the hatred I had of the platinum bitch.
