Cat Abuse
This is based on a comic strip from 24th June 1978.
Jon was reading a newspaper one day when he heard the door bell ring. He got up to answer it.
"Jon Arbuckle?" The man said at the door.
"That's me." Jon replied.
"I'm from the A.S.P.C.A and we have reason to believe you've been doing abuse on your cat."
"Cat abuse?" Jon replied puzzled. "What kind of abuse?"
"Well….your cat has informed us that he's been afraid to sleep at night because he's afraid that you're going to eat him."
Jon raised an eyebrow. "Eat him?"
"Because you've been eating cat meat in front of him."
"WH….WHAT!?"
Garfield then appeared with a piece of paper behind the A.S.P.C.A man
"Take a look at this old comic strip from 24th June 1978." Said Garfield in thoughts. (For some reason even though Garfield can't speak and we only see his thoughts. Humans seem to hear his thoughts. See my other fanfic "The Garfield Mystery" for more on the topic.)
Jon took the piece of paper and looked at the comic strip. It was very old from 24th June 1978. It was from the very first week of Garfield cartoons. In it Jon was at the table with a burger without buns. Garfield then took the burger and threw it a short distance in front of him. Garfield then pounced on it and Jon then said.
"Don't be cruel Garfield. Put the catburger out of its misery and eat it."
Garfield hearing this made a disgusted face.
There was the proof right there. Jon ate cats. It was demented and cruel that a normal American man ate cats in front of a pet cat.
"This is demented and cruel. No buns I take it. You like your cats without carbs." TheASPCA man said. "You're under arrest."
Two police officers from behind then came slapped a pair of handcuffs on Jon and took him off to prison. Of course after Garfield and Odie was put into kennels they decided this wasn't the life. Garfield then used his massive weight and ran into the walls of the kennel knocking a hole into the wall. Breaking out Garfield and Odie then went to the house,fished in Jon's drawers for money and put up his bail money. Jon was let out….but he promised to Garfield he would never eat cat meat again.
