The game had been going on for over a year now, most of us had given up on trying to get our lives back IRL and started to live lives out in the cities. The stubborn ones were the ones that fought on the front lines. I fought with them for a few month before it was clear that even if every play fought the floor boss at the same time we would never reach the final boss with the numbers we have now…most would die in the chaos. I have hung up by armor, sward, and bow and have taken up working at a player owned restaurant as a cook.

"Hey Gemini, do you think you can take my waitressing shift on Saturday?" Angel asked dropping dirty dishes into the sink. "I already had the boss approve it, he said all I needed was a yes from you."

"I don't know…what shift is it?" I asked setting down my knife.

"Morning. 8am-2pm. They said you would get paid a time and a half on what you are paid now." That's lot of money, and to be honest this job was really just to keep me sane until the end of the game.

"Why not. I had nothing planed on Saturday morning anyway."

The rest of the week came and went, I worked in the kitchen until Saturday came and worked as a waitress. One reason I couldn't wait to get my cooking skill maxed out was to get out of the waitress uniform, it was so short and very revealing, but this place was the only player run restaurant on the floor so one of the only places that hire other players. People always seemed to love it when I was out on the floor, I never really understood why. I always cocked it up to that I worked in the kitchen and they knew I would make sure everything was done right the male employees claimed that it was because the uniform complimented my body, in other words they were saying I looked hot.

"See you guys Monday." I yelled running out the back door, I left the data for the uniform back in the restaurants system and headed toward the forest for a midday walk.

Some wound say it's not safe to walk alone in the forest because of the creatures hanging around in it, but I have lived on this floor for four months now and have been walking through the woods from just as long as have seen nothing but birds and frogs, no scary creature. Besides it's not like I never had a weapon with me and the forest was never quite, which normally is a sign of danger, the bird were always singing and the frogs crocking and a few system generated bugs hummed.

But something was different this time. The forest was still, the only noise was from my steps which seemed louder than they should be. I had never heard this happen. I took out my knife. The farther I walked in the more silent and the heaver my footsteps seemed to be. It wasn't long before I could hear the sounds of fighting and soon I could see the cursers of players moving out ahead of me. I move closer staying in the shadows and behind the brush covering the forest floor until I could see the four men and one women fighting what seemed to be an earth element dragon.

I didn't have the gear to help fight the dragon and it looked like they had it pretty well handled. The dragon moved around, swigging its tail around trying to knock the players down. It moved its tail closer to me, I didn't know what to do. Panicking, I tried to run away, but my pink hair got stuck in the brush. I couldn't pull it free, but the blow from the dragons tail did that for me. I hit a tree, knocking me out. But not before I could see the chuck of hair wadded on to a branch, my health bar going down, and one of the men turning away from the dragon and running toward me.
