New writing challenge as I have feelings about who got to survive in all of the Danganronpa games (not the anime though even though I desperately wanted nice guy Bandai and Seiko to survive as well as Chisa so her class could save her too) so I'll make this simple. I'd like to see someone write a fanfic where Sayaka, Chihiro, and Taka replace Hagakure, Byakuya, and Toko but the game still proceeds as normal with the exception of three different survivors because Hagakure is useless, FUCK BYAKUYA, and I think Komaru would have been much better friends with Sayaka. I even have it mentally set up that Leon kills Hagakure because his baseball instincts tell him that he'll just be dead weight in the long run, Mondo kills Byakuya for being an asshole to Chihiro, and Hifumi accidentally kills Toko because Ishimaru didn't show up (due to 'Mondo's' influence) but she did so it becomes wrong place wrong time. All the others who canonically died will still die as normal (Mukuro betrayed by Junko and Sakura killing herself to save everyone as well as the executions still being the canon ones). Next for Goodbye Despair, the only two I would change would be Kazuichi and Fuyuhiko replaced by Mahiru and Hiyoko because I ship it harder than the USS Enterprise (and even though he actually did stuff, Kazuichi was still basically the Hagakure of Class 77). Fun fact though: the original plan was actually for Fuyuhiko to take Hiyoko's place as the second victim of Chapter 3 so you could call this an instance of alternate canon. Finally for V3, I wish I could say I wanted everyone (except for Kokichi) to live but that wouldn't work so instead I would keep the 3 canon survivors but also add Kaede, Ryoma, Tenko, Miu, Keebo, and Gonta to the list (Rantaro was ultimately pointless and only existed for shock value, Kirumi while one of the most selfless characters in the whole series putting others over herself still would kill to protect the country she served, FUCK ANGIE FOR BEING A CRAZY RELIGIOUS NUTCASE AND MANIPULATING BEST BOY AND THE INNOCENT MAGE LIKE THAT, Korekiyo is creepy as fuck, I HATE KOKICHI FOREVER FOR WHAT HE DID TO GONTA, and Kaito is unfortunately doomed by canon because of his disease, and I know it is done on purpose but dear god for someone called the Ultimate Cosplayer I would have taken a third helping of the real Junko over Tsumugi and it doesn't help either that I hiss venom every time I see the final trial and she uses both of the adorable cinnamon rolls of the previous games' bodies) and Keebo would survive because Kaede and Shuichi would find a way to save the remaining survivors, end the show, and defeat Tsumugi without Keebo sacrificing himself even though Tsumugi would still kill herself because she doesn't want to live in a world without Danganronpa.
