Slipping into the darkest corners had become a bad habbit. He was told there was a mission to be done here so far no sign of a threat. He was starting to wonder if that wizard was going a little off in his old age.
Not to say there wasn't anything happening while he was there. Oh he arrived at the perfect time to help with the wedding of none other than Princess Anna. He had hold back his urge to brag to everyone knowing a certain someone was still MIA.
Now here he stood against a pillar supervising. This wasn't his world why should he do the labor? Pulling an apple from his sleeve he prepared to bite into it. As he prepared to bite into it an icesickle launched it from his fingertips.
"Those are for the workers Axel I don't see you doing much more than leaning on a pillar."
"I was just resting before I got back to work your grace." Axel mumbled turning to his attacker
A few feet away stood Queen Elsa a curious expression on her features. She seemed to be studying him or taking him in for the first time. Slowly she turned walking in the direction of another group of workers.
"I guess I gotta pull my weight now." Axel muttered scooping up the apple
In a flash he roasted the apple perfectly in his gloved hands. Looking down he was met with the look of awe from one of the children helping out. Using the icesickle he passed the apple to the child gentle pushing passed him.
With a tug of his hand he removed his jacket. Beneath he wore a black shirt that buttoned down the front with no sleeves and flames up the back like Phoenix wings and coal pants and black shoes and gloves.
"Alright time to get to work." Axel muttered to himself
Jumping from the ladder he was working from Axel snatched his cloak. With a smirk he he glanced at Elsa receiving a slight smile in return. Falling onto a nearby bench he draped his cloak over his lap. With a slap on the pyromage's back the groom to be sat beside him.
"I can't thank you enough for your help Axel." He stated
"It's nothing but if you don't mind why request aid from Yen sid?" Axel asked
With a shrug Kristoff leaned back in his seat. He truly had no idea it wasn't his idea to request aid. Slowly Kristoff turned to Elsa who faced away from them. Slowly she turned checking things off a list. Giving a little wave she swiftly spun back to the last of workers.
"Thank you everyone we'll see you tomorrow." Elsa announced
Slowly the worker began to leave the area. Standing Axel moved to make his leave. On his way out a hand grabbed his arm. Glancing to the side he met the eyes of none other than the queen. With a small smile she tugging his arm by the elbow.
"Leaving so soon?" She asked a questioning look in her eye
"Job's done time to be moving on your highness." He said with a slight smirk
"Oh is it now I asked for security I never claimed what for Axel now come along the day is nearly over." She pointed out
Letting out a weak sigh he hung his head. Banishing his Dark Passageway he turned allowing the queen to lead him from the area. He was in no position to argue with the queen of this world. She almost seemed to skate with every step she took. Leaving the castle courtyard she opened a door ushering him inside. The door closed behind her with a gust of winter wind and she moved to squeeze his gloved hand.
"I'm sorry I truly must apologize I brought you here under false pretenses." She whispered a frost coating her hands and face
"Your highness your turning to ice." He muttered placing a warm hand on her face
"Sorry must be my emotions getting better of me." She mumbled leaning into hand
"What was it you wanted to say?" He questioned
"I'll tell you tomorrow." She whispered leaving in a gust of snow
"Just what am I doing here?" He asked looking at the snow pile
