1Disclaimer: Okay. Here goes. I do not own Sammy Keyes. I know. I shock myself sometimes.
"Hey Sammy." Casey said. I jumped. I hadn't expected anyone to be at school this late. I was trying to solve another mystery. I had been following someone but of course, Casey just gave me away and I lost them. Oh well.
"Hey Casey." I smiled at him. I don't know why but he always made me smile.
"What are you doing here so late?" He asked.
"I could ask you the same question." I retorted in defense. He looked taken aback for a minute then laughed.
"Whoa calm down. I'm here working on my science fair project." He smiled at me and I started blushing. Why had I yelled at him. Wait why do I care? (A/n: Okay I know I used the science fair thing in my story but it's a good excuse!)
"Yeah so I'm just finishing it up. Now you haven't answered my question yet." I didn't know how to respond. Certainly not the truth. But I didn't want to lie to him.
"Oh I was looking for someone but I guess I missed them." I responded. The truth but not the whole truth. Perfection.
"Cool" He responded. Smiling at me again. My stomach did flip-flops. They were so bad I thought I might puke.
"Yeah... So anyways... ummm..." I couldn't think of anything to say. My mouth was dry and my tongue was tied.
"You okay Sammy?" Casey asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." I responded quickly. Brushing the question off.
"So..." He sounded tongue-tied now.
"Well I should probably get going." I said after a moment of silence.
"Okay then." He agreed. "I should be getting back to my science project. That ribbon is not going to win itself for me." laughed and turned around to go. Then I heard him calling me back.
"Sammy wait a minute." I turned back around and there he was. I was staring into his chocolate eyes.
Then his face was leaning down and his lips pressed gently against mine.
Okay. I admit it. I melted in his arms. And I swear there were fireworks exploding around me. Hey I can be a little girly can't I? I mean Casey is one good kisser. At least I think he is. Not that I would really know. I haven't had much experience in that department.
Then he pulled away and smiled down at me. His eyes dancing. His smile was really bright and I bet mine was too.
"See you later Sammy" then he turned and walked down the hall.
I stood there for a moment. Not daring to move. Had that really just happened? I hope it did. I wouldn't want to be considered delusional
plus I really liked it.
I wonder if he is going to act further. I guess I'll find out.
Then I turned and walked out of the school. And who did I see? The guy I had been following earlier. And I was catching him in the act. And he was going to be pretty easy to stop.
This day was getting better and better
