Angel Beats! Short Epilogue –Iwasawa Asami

It was another typical hot Sunday afternoon. Her hand was trembling as she hesitated. There was just something that came up in her mind, so sudden, just light a bolt of lightning that suddenly lit up the sky for about a second. The girl sat there and focussed really hard on the white piece of paper right in front of her. She twirled her pen around her fingers, as if it was going to help her focus. Obviously, those sudden images in her head wasn't just going to resurface. She was getting more and more frustrated…

~It was dark. From what it seems, it looked light she was in the gymnasium. Students were protesting against the teachers. She was on stage with a few other girls whose faces seemed really familiar. One of the teachers were threatening to confiscate the instruments on the stage, threatening her. "You don't mind if I throw this out?" He said as he roughly grabbed her precious guitar. Her anger rose. Her sweet, gentle nature was uncontrolled and overpowered by that anger inside her. She broke free from the teachers, ran up and retrieved her guitar. She was surrounded by the teachers. She backed off towards the wall of the stage. "Hand that over." The teacher demanded. She had no choice and there was only one thing that was still left in her mind that she hasn't done.

She dozed off. Afternoon had turned into evening. She grasped onto her pen and frantically wrote. The more she wrote, the more the memories came back to her.

Remembering the lyrics was really simple, in a very unnatural way. She kept writing and writing and writing. All these emotions filled her head, and when she reached the end, her eyes were all teary. She entitled the piece 'My Song'.

Singing the song made her cry. The lyrics were so beautiful. All those memories overfilling in her head, she just didn't know what to do. She didn't know if remembering her previous and the SSS was either a gift or a curse.

'Iwasawa Asami…. That was who I was., she whispered to herself.

'What a beautiful existence…'
