"Nico, I'm home!" The cry sounded in the apartment. The empty silence that followed reassured Will, as he speed-walked to the kitchen and set down a tiny, sopping bundle on the counter. Grabbing a towel that hung on a hook nearby, Will wrapped it around the shivering form.
He was about to turn to the fridge when a pair of dark, mocha eyes stared into his own cerulean ones. Will squealed in fright, and tripped over his feet. Nico padded over in his skull onesie, and asked, "Why do we have a kitten on the counter?"
Will mumbled from the floor, "I found it in an alley, and it was raining," and turned his infamous puppy eyes on Nico. "Can we keep him? Please?" he pleaded.
Nico smirked, and said, "If only I get to name him."
